DR. SAL MERCOGLIANO

The Maritime College Alumni Association is delighted to welcome Dr. Sal Mercogliano as a featured speaker at the Sesquicentennial Gala. A 1989 graduate of SUNY Maritime College, Dr. Mercogliano is an accomplished maritime historian and former merchant mariner. He currently serves as an Associate Professor of History at Campbell University, where he specializes in maritime history and policy.

Dr. Mercogliano is also the creator and host of the popular YouTube channel What is Going On With Shipping?, where he provides insightful analyses of global shipping trends, maritime trade, and the critical challenges facing the industry today. His engaging commentary has made him a respected voice in maritime circles and beyond.
